I had the opportunity to fly to Singapore for the weekend a couple of weeks back. There was a conference, Finance Asean, that was hosted by Asean Young Professionals and my friend invited me to join it a month back. The conference had so many good speakers from various top companies. I thought why not give it a shot since it would be a good experience, right? And besides, it has been awhile since I've last visited Singapore!
The highlight of my trip was discovering this beautiful city until very late at night for two consecutive days. I was so amazed by what Singapore had to offer. They had a night festival that was going on when we arrived on the first night. We chucked our bags on the floor after we checked in and left the hostel straight away to walk the streets. There were food stalls that sold overpriced food, bands jamming out to their favourite metal music (which I personally am not a big fan of), a 24 hour museum, light shows, gorgeous decorations, and basically, beautiful people. One thing that we can all agree about Singapore is their top-notch public transportation- the MRT. I was so impressed by how safe this country is!
Marina Bay Sands, you are way more beautiful than I imagined you to be. So glad that I was finally able to finally see this beauty with my own eyes. It was really special.
Clarke Quay, you hold a special place in my heart :)
All in all, I enjoyed this trip a whole lot. Singapore, you definitely surpassed my expectations.
Love,
Char.
